Stick to the Script(ure)
Life often feels like assembling something complex without instructions. We start off following the directions, but somewhere along the way, we convince ourselves we know better and go our own way. This message powerfully reminds us that many of us are living our lives as Christians independently of the scriptures God has given us. We're fathering, mothering, leading, working, and making decisions without consulting the instruction manual. Through 2 Timothy 3:10-17, we're confronted with an unavoidable reality: difficult times will come, and deceptions will continue. As followers of Christ, we will face persecution and trials in various forms. Yet while evil and deception progress in the world around us, our response must be clear and unwavering—stick to the script. The scriptures are not ordinary words on a page but the very breath of God, profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness. Just as a roller coaster has rails that keep us steady through all the twists, turns, and drops, God's Word provides stability in the chaos of life. When we've gone off course in our personal lives or ministry, the beautiful truth is that the instructions haven't changed. The script remains. We simply need to return to it and follow what God has laid out for us.
