Crossroads
This powerful message confronts us with a profound truth: we are constantly standing at crossroads in our lives, facing decisions that will either move us toward God or away from Him. Drawing from Hebrews 11:6, we're reminded that without faith, it is impossible to please God. The crossroads aren't just major life decisions—they happen daily, sometimes moment by moment. When anger rises, when unforgiveness tempts us, when old habits call our names, we face a choice: will we respond as we always have, or will we step into something new through faith? The sermon challenges our tendency to trust our own logic over God's word, revealing how we often want God to save us just so we can return to our old ways. But true faith requires abandoning everything we know for what we will discover in Him. We learn that faith isn't transactional—it's not about giving God something to get something back. Instead, faith opens our eyes to receive what has already been freely given. The message liberates us to understand that some of our troubles aren't because the devil won, but because we made emotional decisions without seeking God's direction. When we find ourselves at these crossroads, the Holy Spirit is there to guide us, even when the path leads through difficulty. The challenge before us is clear: will we live faithless lives driven by our own opinions, or will we allow faith to be the currency that governs every decision we make?
